The Bullitt County History Museum

Mystery Rock Identified

The rock pictured below was found in a creek in Bullitt County. It is about the size of a softball. It has a hole running through it with a wire in the hole.

We asked for help in identifying it, and we are grateful to Dr. Diblasi for the solution. It is a net sinker used to hold fishing nets in place until time to haul in the catch.

Thanks,
The Museum Staff
