Announcing a New Book
We're pleased to announce and recommend this delightful new book by former museum director David Strange that is set in Peaceful Valley in the middle of Bullitt County. It is described by the author below.
"Good Morning" is rooted in the author's sunrise walks in a beautiful little place called Peaceful Valley. Told in the third person, the old man, named "Good Morning", and a Canada Goose which he named Godfrey, become closer and closer friends over four years of experiences; learning and sharing Life with each other. They share in Godfrey's long grief at the loss of his mate, his eventual meeting of a new mate and her "in-laws", their first eggs and the loss of them to some unknown predator, Godfrey's first goslings, and the uplifting friendships with other wildlife such as the hilarious "Waddles", a friendly duck family that includes Godfrey's ever-faithful duck friend, Wilbur. The pleasant storytelling style of the author also takes the reader through all sorts of adventures, both exciting and humorous, while subtly touching on lessons in Life and Nature at a pre-teen or child's level but also interesting to adults. Indeed, it was adults who encouraged the writing of this book. The mood is calming and, agreeable to the Peaceful Valley locale, peaceful. Such a nice surprise in today's world!
Come with him now in stories both grand and small that any of us can be part of, and learn from, if we only take the time to see. Available on Amazon by following this link, or see David to get a copy.
