Noah C. Summers to Sydney S. Alexander - Multiple Shepherdsville Lots

In 1826, Noah C. Summers deeded several town lots to Sydney S. Alexander who had purchased them a year earlier and had them deeded to Summers. The lots included 26, 41, 42, 47 and 63.

This indenture made this first day of March 1826 between Noah C. Summers of Shepherdsville, Kentucky of the first part and Sydney S. Alexander of the same place of the second part.

Witnesseth that the said Noah C. Summers for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar current money of the United States to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Sydney S. Alexander the following land and lots of ground, to wit.

One whole lot number twenty-six in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville now in the possession of said Alexander.

Also such part of lot number forty-one on the new plan of said town as was not heretofore sold and conveyed to M. & S. Wilson, which lot is now in the possession of said Alexander.

Also whole lot number forty-two in the new plan of said town, the same now in the possession of said Alexander.

Also whole lot number sixty-three on the new plan of said town, late the property of the heirs of James Prion dec'd, and now in the possession of Thomas Q. Willson as tenant.

Also whole lot number sixty-four in the new plan of said town, late the property of the heirs of James Prion dec'd, and now in the possession of Thomas Q. Willson as tenant.

The aforesaid lots and parts of lots are the same which were conveyed to the said Summers by Henry F. Kalfus, collector of the town tax of the town of Shepherdsville, by deed bearing date the first day of October 1825, and acknowledged and recorded the 16 January 1826 in deed book F, page 111, reference being had thereto appears. Together with all and singular the premises thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining.

To have and to hold the land hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said Sydney S. Alexander, his heirs and assigns forever, to him and his heirs against the claim or claims of him the said Noah C. Summers or his heirs or assigns, and all persons claiming by through or under hims, but not against any other person or persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said Noah C. Summers hath hereunto set his hand and seal the date above. (signed) N. C. Summers
