Bullitt County History

Bullitt County Public Roads - 1829

In May 1829, the County Court redefined who was responsible for working on the various public roads in the county by dividing these roads up into 21 sections, defined by specific boundaries, and assigning all the eligible workers within these boundaries to specific sections of road. The following descriptions give us a fair picture of the major public roads within the county at that time, and identify many of the names of people who lived along the boundaries.
