1844 Shepherdsville Town Trustees Election

The candidates are listed below. The capital letter preceding each name is used to identify him in the voting chart below.

We have attempted to duplicate the chart as it was written in the deed book. It appears that each voter announced his choices, and the election clerk kept a running total as each voter's choices were listed.

I Noah C. Summers, clerk of the trustees of the town of Shepherdsville in Bullitt County, Kentucky do certify that at an election held at the courthouse in Shepherdsville on Monday the 5th day of August 1844 the following persons were elected Trustees of said town, to-wit, Henry J. Craycroft, Samuel A. McKay, Preston N. Hornbeck, Ambrose Ratliffe, Frederick Travis. Att. Noach C. Summers, clerk of the town of Shepherdsville, August 5th 1844.

Admission is free. The museum, as part of the Bullitt County Genealogical Society, is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization and is classified as a 509(a)2 public charity.
