Benjamin & Valinda Summers to Matthew & Samuel Wilson - Lot 41

This indenture made this twenty-sixth day of May 1824 between Benjamin Summers and Verlinda Summers his wife of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part and Mathew Wilson and Samuel Wilson, merchants of the town of Shepherdsville in the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Summers and Verlinda his wife for and in consideration of the sum of $275 Commonwealth paper to them in hand paid by the said Wilson, the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents grant, bargain, sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Mathew Wilson and Samuel Wilson a part of a certain lot of ground on Main Street in the town of Shepherdsville known by the number 13 in the old plan and by the number 41 in the new plan of said town (Shepherdsville) and thus described: Beginning on Main Street opposite the north side of James Holmes' chimney and running with said Main Street North 55 feet in front and running back 99 feet 5 inches. With all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said Matthew Wilson and Samuel Wilson and their heirs forever. And the said Benjamin Summers and Verlinda his wife for themselves and their heirs will warrant and defend the said parcel of ground 55 feet in front and 99 feet 5 inches back as above described to the said Matthew Wilson and Samuel Wilson and their heirs forever against themselves and their heirs and all persons claiming by, through or under them and against th claim or claims of all persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same. In testimony whereof the said Benjamin Summers and Verlinda Summers his wife have hereto set their hands and seals the day and year first written. (signed) Benjamin Summers

I Nat. C. Saunders, deputy clerk of the county court of Bullitt County, do certify that on this day Benjamin Summers came personally before me and acknowledged this indenture to Matthew Wilson and Samuel Wilson as and for his act and deed. Whereupon at the instance of said Wilsons I have recorded the same in my office as required by law. Witness my hand this 26th day of May 1824. (signed) Nat. C. Saunders.
