On 14 Dec 1811, Simeon and David Hall sold this tract to Richard P. Simmons, as shown below. Then on 9 Jan 1812, Richard P. Simmons sold a 130 acre tract to Richard James Sr. which appears to be the same tract.

This indenture made this 14th day of December 1811 between Simeon and David Hall and Nancy Hall, the wife of Simeon and Rachael Hall, the wife of David Hall of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and Richard P Simmons of the county and state aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Simeon Hall and Nancy his wife, and David Hall and Rachel his wife do for and in consideration of the sum of $400 of current money of the state of Kentucky, lawful in the United States, to them in hand paid by the said Richard P Simmons, the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge, have granted, given, bargained, sold, aliened enfeoffed, and confirmed and by these presents do give, grant, sell, alien, enfeoff and confirm unto Richard P. Simmons, his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the county of Bullitt and on Salt River containing the full quantity of 130 acres, and bounded as follows to wit.
Beginning at A at a beech standing on the banks of Salt River, thence N 14° E (for 15°) with the line of the original 194 poles to a poplar and two beeches, thence N 70° W (for 75°) with the line of the original 96 poles to an elm standing on the north side of a small drain, thence S 16° W 227 poles to a beech and ash and standing on the bank of Salt River, thence up with the meanders of Salt River 105 poles to the beginning.
To have and to hold the aforesaid premises with their appurtenances unto the said Richard P. Simmons and his heirs forever to their only proper use and behoof. And we Simeon and Nancy Hall and David and Rachael Hall do undertake by these presents to give, grant, bargain, sell, convey and deliver the same with all its appurtenances whatever unto the said Richard P. Simmons, his heirs and assigns forever against our own claims and that of hour heirs. and we the said Simeon and Nancy Hall, and David and Rachael Hall and each and everyone of our heirs do undertake to warrant and defend the aforesaid tract of land to the said Richard P. Simmons, his heirs and assigns forever only against the claims of ourselves and the claims of our heirs. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals the date just above written. (signed by grantors)
