On 15 Aug 1828, Sydney S. Alexander, by a quit claim deed, sold his title to lots 41 and 42 to Jonathan Gore Jr. On 16 Nov 1830, Gore sold the southern part of lot 42 to George W. Jenkins. Then, on 20 Nov 1832, he sold the rest of lot No. 42 to Wilford Lee. Jenkins sold the southern half to William Arnold in 1836.

This indenture made the sixth day of October 1836 between George W. Jenkins of Hardin County, state of Kentucky of the one part and William Arnold of the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County and same state of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said George W. Jenkins, for and in consideration of the sum of $300 current money of the United States to him in hand paid before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said William Arnold and his heirs a certain part of lot number 42 in the new plan of said town of Shepherdsville, being the southern half of said lot, including the large stable built by Jonathan Gore Jr., and bounded as follows to-wit.
Beginning at the south east corner of said lot on Doctor's Alley, thence westwardly with the line of said alley 99'5" to the southwest corner of said lot, thence northwardly with the line of said lot 99'5.5" to a stake, thence eastwardly 99'5" to a stake on an alley, thence with the line of said alley 99'5.5" to the beginning; being the same piece or parcel of ground which was on the 16th day of November 1830 conveyed by Jonathan Gore Jr. and wife to the said George W. Jenkins by deed duly recorded in the clerk's office of the Bullitt County Court, reference being thereto had wil more fully appear.
To have and to hold the piece or parcel of ground aforesaid with all the appurtenances unto him the said William Arnold and his heirs, and to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And said George W. Jenkins for himself and his heirs doth covenant and agree to, and with the said William Arnold and his heirs that he will and his heirs shall warrant and forever defend the said described part of said lot and appurtenances unto him the said William Arnold and his heirs from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same. In testimony whereof the said George W. Jenkins hereto sets his hand and seal on the day and year first written.
