William Caldwell to Nathan Brammel - Part of Shepherdsville Lot 41

Benjamin Summers bought this lot in 1797, and according to another deed he sold it to James Ferry by bond, which bond was transferred to Mary Welsh; and by this deed Summers deeded the ground to Welsh on 28 Apr 1818. Then on 20 Dec 1819, Mary sold the tract to James Holmes. Holmes would later sell it to Samuel Burks and William Caldwell. Burks then sold his share to Caldwell on 29 Aug 1821. Then on 28 Sep 1833 Caldwell sold the ground to Nathan Brammel as shown below. Brammel would later sell it to William Arnold.

This indenture made and entered into the 28th day of September 1833 between William Caldwell and Elizabeth his wife of the one part and Nathan Brammel of the other part.

Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of $400 in hand paid by the said Brammel, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the said Caldwell and wife do by these presents sell, grant, alien and confirm unto the said Brammel, his heirs &c all their right, title, claim and interest in and to a certain part of lot number 41 in the town of Shepherdsville, situate on Main Street and bounded as follows to-wit.

Beginning at the southwest corner of lot No. 41 at the corner of Main Street and the alley running thence with Main Street 30 feet, N 6 1/2° East, thence with the course of the town lots back to lot No. 14 in the old plan of the town, thence with the line of said lot No. 14, S 6 1/2° West to the corner of said lot on the alley, thence with the alley to the beginning including a store house which fronts about 30 feet on Main Street, a dwelling house kitchen and smoke house which are situated on the back part of said lot now sold to said Brammell, the title of which lot together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging the said Caldwell and wife do by these presents forever warrant and defend unto the said Brammell his heirs &c against the claim of all persons whatever.
