On 22 Feb 1838, Matthew Wilson conveyed to the trustees of the United Baptist Church of Shepherdsville plots of ground in and near Shepherdsville. It included his warranted title to Lot #43 in the town's new plan. The Church Trustees sold the lot to Samuel A. McKay in 1845, as shown below. To do so they needed to get permission from the Kentucky General Assembly. McKay later sold the lot to Henry J. Craycroft in January 1846.

Whereas the trustees of the Baptist Church in Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky purchased a lot number 43 in said town with other lots for the purpose of building a church house thereon, and not being able then to do so, said trustees applied and procured an act of the general assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, passed and approved February 13, 1841, authorizing Humphrey Simmons, Thomas Joyce, Samuel A. McKay and Frederick Travis, trustees of said Baptist Church to sell and convey said lots for purposes named and said act and said trustees did sell said lot No. 43 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville to Samuel A. McKay for about the sum of $150 and applied the proceeds of sale to the payment of the debt due by said trustees for said lots so named in the act of assembly as aforesaid.
Wherefore in consideration of the premises and the payment of the purchase money by said McKay as aforesaid, they the said Humphrey Simmons, Thomas Joyce, Samuel A. McKay and Frederick Travis, as trustees of said Baptist Church, and as the persons authorized by the act of assembly as aforesaid for themselves and their successors in office as the trustees of said Baptist Church in Shepherdsville as aforesaid have sold and conveyed, and do by these presents sell, convey and confirm unto him the Samuel A. McKay and to his heirs and assigns forever the said Lot No. 43 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky as aforesaid with its appurtenances.
To have and to hold the same to him and his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Humphrey Simmons, Thomas Joyce, Samuel A. McKay and Frederick Travis as trustees of said Baptist Church ans as the persons in said act of assembly named for that purpose, for themselves as trustees &c as aforesaid, and for and on behalf of their successors in office as trustees as aforesaid do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Samuel A. McKay that they as trustees aforesaid and said act named for that purpose and for their successor in office as trustee as aforesaid will hereby warrant and defend the title to the said lot No. 43 and appurtenances aforesaid unto him the said Samuel A. McKay and to his heirs aforesaid against the claims of all persons whatever by this their deed in fe simple with general warranty without any individual responsibility on said grantors and their individual capacity or on their heirs.
